Multi-Objective Profile Design Optimization to Minimize Wear Damage and Surface Fatigue of City Train Wheel

Wear and fatigue of wheels have a great effect on the maintenance railway vehicles running safety. In case an urban where no rail lubrication system is installed, it reported that risk wheel damage high in curved sections. present study, we intended to method designing profile city trains can minimize wear sections, using multi-objective optimization method. optimization, explored design reduce at same time, while also satisfying performance constraints, such as safety against derailment contact force between rails wheels. A multi-body dynamic analysis was conducted for evaluation, best produced utilizing result. with minimized wear, surface fatigue, both improve train were presented respectively Pareto-optimal Solution, which result optimization. The performances lateral optimized profiles showed improved characteristics when compared those initial profile.
